Sometimes grief begins long before the goodbye.
When someone we love is aging, seriously ill, changing, or nearing the end of a season of life, we can begin grieving while they are still here. This is often called anticipatory grief—the complicated mixture of sadness, fear, love, and uncertainty that can accompany an approaching loss.
In Grieving Before Goodbye, we explore what it means to grieve someone before they're gone, why these feelings can be so difficult to understand, and how we can make room for both grief and gratitude while we still have time together.
You don't have to rush through these feelings or find the perfect words for them. Sometimes the invitation is simply to notice what is happening within you—and to be present for the moments you still have.
Come sit with us at Manna & Mint, where ordinary life feels sacred again.

There is a particular kind of loneliness that can come during a difficult season of marriage—the kind that can exist even when you love your husband, believe in God, and are faithfully praying for things to change.
In this honest reflection, Julie shares what it felt like to walk through a marriage trial while holding onto faith. She explores the loneliness, uncertainty, unanswered prayers, and emotional weight that can accompany a difficult season in marriage—and the quiet ways God can meet us there.
If you are struggling in your marriage, praying for your husband, walking through uncertainty, or wondering why faith doesn't always make a painful season feel less lonely, this reflection offers a gentle reminder: feeling lonely does not mean you have lost your faith, and God's silence does not mean His absence.
A heartfelt Christian reflection on marriage struggles, loneliness in marriage, faith during difficult seasons, unanswered prayer, trusting God, and finding His presence in the middle of uncertainty.

In this episode:
Finding peace with God during difficult seasons
